I've been rappelling before, so I'm just waiting to go. I think one of the problems we had this week was it took some people so long to put on harnesses that we used up time to set up. Nina Swint
It's exciting to finally start rappelling which is what we've been working up to this whole year. At the same time it's a little confusing because ther are so many things that go into the setup and its hard to know if we're doing it all right. -Michelle Baum
I just feel that we should go through the directions of how to set it up and how to get down. I think that if we all have a class demo from you it should help clear confusion. -Pooja Shah
I am not nervous about repelling, it really doesn't seem life threatening; it just seems like it's been a little slow in terms of actually getting someone down the wall. As each repelling day passes, it gets a little more frustrating as we eait to get the set-up equiptment checked out, but I know that it is part of the safety procedure and completely understand the wait.
Rappelling itself isn't really a problem for me, because I'm not scared of heights, and I'm good at trusting people, but it's the setting up that my group has problems with. We need help with the tying of the webbing on the rails, for the most part, because we can't figure it out. -Soumik Biswas
At first it was kinda scary like when I was over the edge looking down, but it wasn't that bad at all. It was really fun and I was proud that I faced my fear and I had a really fun time doing it!
I'm so excited!!!But there are many steps that are confusing. Also sometime it take so long to wait for the equipment checked out. It is frustrating when we set up everything but need to wait for Mr.H to checked over and at the end nobody is rappelling because there is no time to do it. Anne Hou
We had many confusions but it is geting a lot better. Give your full trust in classmates I think that is really cool. I did not rappel yet but I can't wait! Tina Li
Hi, I know this is late, but I definitely still have comments to share that are beneficial (at least in my mind). I think this whole repelling activity has been amazing. My group actually speaks to each other like friends, not just classmates. I think the whole aspect of working together on the set up reassures us that we're all there for one another. Also, today I did actually repell and the scariest part for me was just getting over the railing. Because I'm short my feet couldn't touch the railing and that scared me, but letting go was easy and walking down was fun! I can't wait to go through it again tomorrow!
When I master the skills of repelling, I wanna become just like that woman in yellow and the man covered in all black. They're shown early in the clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd8RZqxGqgE -Chris Park-
(I know this is kind of late, but all of a sudden I thought, "Hey! Mr. H's blog!!")
It's a little scary when you first go down, but it's fun. The hardest part for me has been entirely understanding and remembering how to set up. But I'm excited to get to go down again. Ali Maniscalco
I don't even know if I'll get credit for this but i love repelling! it's actually fun! the first time was scary and a little jerky but practice makes perfect and I trust my repel group a lot! which is great! -Anne Mahoney

Repelling is so much fun, even though I'm still in kind of a scared zone for the first 5 seconds of it. But I know my group would never let me fall!!
